York Racecourse Shortlisted in Regional Tourism Awards

York Racecourse has announced they are shortlisted in the prestigious Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards for the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival in the ‘Tourism Event of the Year’ category.

Up against stiff competition, York Racecourse is shortlisted with 5 other visitor destinations revealed by Welcome to Yorkshire.  In 2012, the famed festival attracted 91,247 guests in total; the Wednesday alone, which featured the unforgettable Frankel race, brought an impressive 30,163 people to the city of York. The four day long event provides racing excellence combined with fashion and fun, attracting visitors to Yorkshire both nationally and internationally.
