What’s ‘glowing’ on at The Fleece?

It’s not just the warmth of the welcome or the glow of the toasty log fire - it’s the hearty, autumn menu launching at The Fleece. Dating back to the 1800’s, The Fleece in Otley, formerly ‘The Golden Fleece’, has created a menu filled with locally sourced ingredients to encourage cosy indoor enjoyment as the nights draw in. The ‘golden’ and autumnal vista from The Fleece has inspired a number of dishes on the new menu, including homemade pumpkin gnocchi with mascarpone toasted pumpkin seeds, savouring the rich flavours of the season. All year round, The Fleece boasts hearty pub grub, washed down with neighbouring WharfeBank Brewery’s cask ales for a truly Yorkshire experience, best enjoyed overlooking the russet and golden views  across the River Wharfe at this time of year. Head Chef Simon Miller has created a menu to warm the heart without breaking the bank, keen to take the pub back to its ‘golden’ days.

He comments:

“At The Fleece, we aim to retain our relaxed pub dining style and ensure that our regulars are continually tempted by something new and interesting. With that in mind, I have created a menu perfect for a cosy evening in front of the fire with friends and family, crafting unique dishes alongside well-loved pub classics including seasonal pie and braised ox cheeks.”

With Christmas just around the corner, let The Fleece take care of the festive celebrations for you this year with a great value menu filled with seasonal delights served by the roaring open fire from 25th November. Highlights include: roasted pumpkin soup, escalope of turkey served with all the trimmings and rum and raisin parfait - 4 courses for £22.95.  Organiser goes free for parties of 8 or more.
