The Granary Barns Opens for Business
Friday, 15th March 2013

Benefitting from a major rebuild and refurbishment, the luxury event venue, The Granary Barns in Woodditton, Cambridgeshire, re-opens for business today. Set within a family estate, the 18th century wedding and celebration venue has been restored to the highest standard and now boasts internal and external refurbishment, sympathetic to the existing traditional structure, a glazed bridal walkway, external work and landscaping, to make this one of the most prestigious event locations in the East of England.
With bookings in the diary for this year and next, the team at The Granary Estates recognised the need for a superb events location in the area that retained the heritage of the local buildings. With the decision to diversify and invest in this major construction and refurbishment project, this weekend’s celebration sees the culmination of hard work and commitment from The Granary Estates, which also includes The Dullingham Polo Club, for a project that finished on time and looks superb.
The venue offers two unique and exquisite wedding venues for up to 240 guests and the investment to the barns aims to bring new business to the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk areas, including corporate events as well as private parties, and build the profile of the East Anglia region within the national weddings and events media.
Guy Taylor, Director at The Granary Barns, commented:-
“We are very proud to welcome guests to The Granary Barns. We felt there was a gap in the market for an intimate and traditional venue and a great deal of care has gone in to ensuring the barns remain true to their heritage whilst creating an exceptional event location. We understand the need for caution in these times of austerity, but exploration of the hospitality market led us to invest in this diversification project. We look forward to the year ahead and taking the business to another level. ”
The Granary Barns appointed national planning and development specialists Rural Solutions to work with them on the careful restoration and construction of the barns.
A private view and drinks reception at The Granary Barns will take place tonight 15 March, from 7pm to thank all those involved in the project and introduce the venue to guests. Please contact Kendra PR on 01904 234752 / m. 07910 214474 laura@kendrapr.co.uk for details.
