Renewable Energy Specialist Joins Rural Solutions Team
Wednesday, 7th August 2013

Joanne Halton, an authority in delivering renewable energy projects, has joined nationwide planning and development specialists Rural Solutions.
A chartered planner, Mrs Halton has more than ten years’ planning experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked for Lancaster City Council, Blackpool Borough Council and more recently Myriad CEG Ltd.
Joanne is delighted to be joining the business:-
“Rural Solutions
is expanding rapidly with five offices nationwide. The breadth of projects that
the business is managing provides new and exciting opportunities, and I can
bring added value to client’s projects with my specialist experience of the
renewable energy sector.
I have worked on a range of schemes from feasibility through to planning including; small and large wind turbine projects, ground mounted Solar PV systems, biomass projects and studies for various forms of renewable energy technologies to help clients establish the best fit for their site.
I am keen to ensure that clients, when considering a development project, look at the lifecycle costs and factor in sustainable solutions where these are appropriate. This helps clients to achieve not only low carbon building projects but also provides an opportunity for them to take advantage of the government grants available such as the ‘Feed in Tariff’ and the ‘Renewable Heat Incentive’ which can represent a healthy return on investment.”
Welcoming
Mrs Halton to the business, managing director of Rural Solutions William Fry
said: “I am thrilled that Joanne has joined the expanding planning team and her
experience of delivering Renewable projects compliments our approach. At Rural
Solutions we help clients to develop their land or property and it is essential
that we deliver long term ‘sustainable’ solutions to maximise the potential
value to the client.”
In her spare
time Joanne enjoys horse riding, spending time with her son and general outdoor
pursuits.
