Good Food and Good Company in Sunshine Style:  Las Iguanas Opens in Harrogate 

Guests enjoyed a night of Latin American cheer and charm at the opening celebration of the latest Las Iguanas bar and restaurant on Thursday 14 April.  Located on John Street, Las Iguanas officially opened its doors on 11 April bringing a fiesta of lovely Latino flavours to Harrogate, combining quality fresh food and fabulous cocktails, all served within a warm and vibrant atmosphere.

Guests on the celebration night took part in bespoke cocktail masterclasses with Las Iguanas’ cocktail guru Rich, including trying a taste of Brazil with a Caiprinha or two, made from Las Iguana’s very own cachaça distilled near to the Brazilian capital.  Guests then enjoyed a real taste of Latin America with dishes such as Ceviche in tiger’s milk with sweet potato crisps, pan-fried Sea Bass Achiote and a traditional Moqueca de Piexe mild Brazilian curry with coconut and fresh tomato sauce.  Ribs were also popular served with a Cuban twist of sticky Havana Club glaze and Fiesta Ensalada with butternut, avocado, roquito peppers and charred corn.  Complemented by the sunshine décor, cosy booths and relaxed ambience, guests looked forward to those long summer evenings when they can sit out and enjoy people-watching from under the wrought iron canopy on one of Harrogate’s hottest streets.
