Arc Inspirations Digs Deep and Parties in Chapel Allerton
Monday, 2nd December 2013

Having recently announced the transformation of The Hub on Stainbeck Lane in Chapel Allerton to their successful new concept, The Pit, the Arc Inspirations’ team welcomed friends to celebrate the launch with fizz and canapés. Benefiting from a £450k spend which has tripled its size, The Pit in Chapel Allerton, is built partly underground and now includes those state of the art urban architectural features that were first seen at the summer launch of The Pit on Merrion Street.
Set to become the number 1
neighbourhood bar in Leeds, The Pit in Chapel Allerton formally opened to the
public on Friday 29th November, but VIP guests took the opportunity
to enjoy a sneak peek on Thursday night.
Retaining its great relaxing and informal atmosphere, The Pit in Chapel
Allerton also enhances some of its favourite features, such as 10 brand new HD
plasma screens, which will be put to full use so customers can enjoy the best
of sport. The team have also introduced
a national treasure from France – a handmade customised football table called a
‘Babyfoot’ table, lovingly built by French craftsmen in Paris.
Guests tucked into canapés, sampling the essence of what makes The Pit a must-go-to-bar, offering some great canapés made using the traditional way of cooking in the States. John Richold, Arc Inspirations’ executive chef, put together a mini-menu of Pit classics such as ribs and wings so guests could sample what everyone’s talking about. The new menu will include other classics such as steaks, lobsters and burgers cooked low and slow over a unique blend of imported American hardwoodsor on a wood fired char broiler which cooks with intense heat to caramelize and sear. Drinks are equally important and after the fizz, the team served a selection of their premium craft beers from around the world plus their very own locally brewed beer - the ‘Pit Canary’ – inspired by the old mining days when a canary was carried into the pit to check it was safe to enter. Guests seemed to agree that they felt quite at home in their new surroundings and the evening continued ‘til late.
Arc Inspirations’ investment on increasing and updating their portfolio of bars in the last 4 months alone stands are £2.25m. They recently unveiled their newest location, The Pit on Merrion Street, close to the Leeds Arena, at the end of August this year, following a £800k spend to transform this disused building. This followed their £1m investment in York, the Banyan Bar & Kitchen on Little Stonegate, which opened in July. - Ends -
